Distance Learning using Any Delivery Method

The ICDL collects a per course processing fee. Colleges only need to enter the amount of the course tuition and the ICDL will automatically add a processing fee equal to 10% charged to the student to cover credit card costs incurred by the ICDL for each transaction and database management. If, for any reason, the student is not accepted to take the course within thirty days, a complete refund is returned to the student.
 

The ICDL does not charge the student an application or registration fee.

Multipoint Videoconferencing

  1. Members of the ICDL can send videoconferences free of charge. There is a fee of $500 for non-members.

     
  2. To receive a videoconference course from other ICDL Colleges a per location, base price of $1,000 is charged per credit hour, per semester (based on 15 hourly meetings) and/or $120 per hour for seminar meeting activities. To receive a videoconference from any ICDL college, a $1,000 hr/semester per location will be charged.

     
    1. Notice - the sending college may elect to charge supplemental fees as deemed necessary and retain 66%.
       
    2. Sending college courses receive:
      • 50% of the base price.
      • 66% of all supplemental fees.

         
  3. To send a videoconference course to other branch locations, there is a charge of $500 per credit hour per location (based on 15 hourly meetings). This results in a member price of $33 per hour for videoconferencing to each location. (This includes the cost of continuous presence, four interactive locations on one screen).

Fees Paid for Multipoint Videoconferencing

  • To send a videoconference course there is no cost to members.
     
  • To receive a videoconference course from other ICDL colleges or ICDL business members a per location, base price of $1,000 is charged per credit hour, per semester (15 hourly meetings) or $120 per hour for seminar meeting activities.
     
    • 1. Notice - the sending business or college may elect to charge any supplemental amount that it determines is necessary (per location) and retail 66%
    • 2. Business or colleges sending courses receive back per location:
       
      • -50% of the base price ($1,000 per credit or $120 per hour)
      • -66% of any supplemental prices

         
  • A $48 per hour, per location, multi-point bridging cost with continuous presence is charged for regular member usage. For non-members the charge is $60 per hour, per location.

     
  • For volume usage, to send a videoconferencing program to other branch locations, there is an advance charge of $500 per location for each fifteen prescheduled hourly meetings equivalent. This results in a $33 per hour cost for videoconferencing for each location. This includes the cost of continuous presence (four interactive locations on one screen).

Low Cost Videoconference Set Top System
 

PictureCom, one of our sponsors, offers a complete turn-key lost cost videoconferencing set top system for under $20,000.00. The PictureCom 2000B consists of a 512 kb unit operating at 30 fps with preset camera positions, zoom lens, and digital visual auto chase (follows subject hands free). This system also includes a Canon document camera, 31” television monitor with stand, NT1’s, and scan converter which allows the use of laptop computers, VCR’s and document camera’s. This is a complete system easy to operate, set up and service. This may be leased or purchased and includes a free one year membership to the International Center for Distance Learning.
 

Internet, CD-ROM, Video Tape and All Other Non-Videoconferencing Courses

Posting of all courses to the ICDL web site is included in the membership fee, up to 100 course listings for colleges and 15 courses per business. Upon student course registration by e-commerce, the ICDL will charge a 10% fee per course registration, for those courses purchased over the ICDL and CollegeLearning.com websites. The ICDL will be responsible for payment of all associated bank and credit card charges. Course prices on the ICDL web sites should be the standard fee charged to all students, plus any associated registration fees. After acknowledgement of student registration by the college or business the ICDL will wire 80% of the fees to the college/business.

Interactive Videoconferencing Fees for Receiving a Course

  • Receiving Course (Base Fee)................................... $1,000.00 per credit
    (Per Semester-approx. 15 sessions)
  • Supplemental fee. (for videoconference only) an amount subject to the discretion of the sending college

Receiving or Sending Videoconference Courses

For ICDL members sending or receiving a videoconference course, there are no additional fees. For colleges or businesses that are not ICDL members, there is a one-time set-up fee of $500.00.
For a member to receive a videoconference course posted on the ICDL web site, the member will pay the posted price of this course by purchase order at a minimum of two weeks prior to the beginning of the course, if the course is not filled up at all locations and available.
For a member sending a videoconferenced course, they must complete the "posting course" section of the ICDLcourses.com web site. In so doing, they will identify all their requirements and the maximum number of locations it will be broadcasted to. They will also decide the cost of the course to the location based on the following formula:

Compensation Back To Sending College
 

  • For all delivery system sales - 80% of the course and registration or application fee
  • For videoconference courses - For each location, the sending college receives back from ICDL
    • 50% of the base price
    • 66% of the supplemental price

ICDL gives colleges two opportunities to expand their enrollments. They are:

  1. Any Delivery System - we market and sell your existing distance learning programs no matter what delivery system that you are using. See details under "Any Delivery System" under the "About Us" menu of this web site

  2. We work with you to deliver live interactive videoconferencing from one point (sending a course) to multi-points (receiving a course). See Details under videoconferencing under the "About Us" menu of this web site
